Primary excursions

Bring your classroom outside with an Auseco field trip!

Our Primary field study excursions

Auseco’s cross-curricular excursions for K-6 classes are a fun-filled, hands-on way for students to experience the natural world.

Our flexible programs meet outcomes from the Science & Technology and Geography syllabuses, guided by the interests of the students and teachers. Worksheets are optional, and our minimum class size is only 20 students, so you can book an affordable day out for everyone. An Auseco field trip makes a great end-of-year treat to wind up Term 4 together.

Techniques & equipment used

Our Primary excursions are a mix of play-based learning and hands-on guided investigation. Investigating everything from rugged landscapes to tiny minibeasts engages gross and fine motor skills. Small group work allows every student the opportunity to have a turn with real scientific equipment, and there are always amazing wildlife and good, grubby outdoor experiences to keep curious minds engaged right till the end of their day.
